The FBRA challenged the attempt by Punuku (the development arm of Auckland Council) to sell off the Pocket Park on the corner of Georgina and Ryle St.
It is the Association’s belief that small areas of green space are vital to a community as further intensification becomes the norm. A large volume of Submissions were sent, by members and the Association, and we successfully lobbied our local board for their support. The FBRA presented to the Commissioners on the Independent Panel, and were successful in retaining the park as an Open Space for future generations to enjoy.
